While much of the western world may have similar customs when it comes to dating, U. dating customs may be completely foreign to people from other parts of the world.
If you’re new to the United States or considering going there for an extended period of time as a single person, it’s important that you understand common accepted dating customs to avoid offending your potential dates or even breaking the law.
A lot of communication nowadays happens online, through emails. In this video, I'll give you seven email etiquette tips.
You don't want to bombard people with constant email threads that they're not interested in.
Speaking of non-interesting emails, avoid forwarding email chains, stories, funny pictures or videos, recipes, or any other email chain.
They might be funny or interesting to you, but maybe not to everyone in your contact list.
So avoid forwarding these types of emails, unless you're absolutely certain the receiver is very interested.
Long emails can look intimidating, so try to avoid big chunks of texts.
Write your emails straight to the point - it will save you time writing emails, and will save the reader time as well.
When several people are copied on an email, don't assume 'reply all' is the best option.
Only reply to the people who really need to read your email.
And when you do, type a few personal lines, explaining why you think this email would be of interest to the receiver. Another tip is to make sure the email is formatted correctly. So, don't leave it blank, make sure it correctly describes the email's content, and keep it short.
